This isn’t a silver lining, at all -
The problem with all this is really about defining - the problem.
The problem isn’t overt politics.
The problem isn’t about who is elected.
The problem isn’t about who runs the elections.
All of these are just some among the symptoms of much more fundamental problems.
What the US has is a social-cultural problem, and the relevant authorities here are two Italians, Antonio Gramsci and Angelo Codevilla, and an Austrian, Schumpeter.
Throw them together and you will get some idea of the underlying illnesses the US is suffering. It’s metastatized cancer, not a surface complaint. I don’t see how this all isn’t fatal.
