Hey, look on the bright side (yes I'm trying to turn lemons into lemonade).

If things shake up like they appear to be, Republicans take the House by about 10 seats and Democrats hold the Senate 50/50. Perhaps that is actually the best of both world for 2024. Biden can't blame everything on a "radical Republican congress" as his party technically controls the Senate. Democrats in the Senate are stuck with two more years of "President Joe Manchin" and even if they did manage to get some of their crazy proposals through the Senate, they would simply never be voted on in the Republican House.

In fact, (really making the lemonade here), there was really not a whole lot to be gained by taking the Senate anyway, with the possible exception of stalling Biden nominees, as he would have simply vetoed any legislation that made it through a Republican House and Senate.

Yes I see that as a bright spot. My worry is would a 10 seat House majority be enough to start looking under the hood with our Praetorian FBI under Garland, and Biden’s grifter son. I can imagine 10 Play Nice RINO Republicans refusing to investigate the cesspits at Langley, Fort Meade and the West Wing.

You are exactly spot on. If republicans had prevailed across the board the commies would have projected blame on them for the next 2 years. I said as much last summer. Would I like to have seen a “red wave” yes, but maybe it was not to be.

You view makes tremendous sense when stepping back a bit and looking at the big picture, as the saying goes “all politics is local.” I would add to those who are not looking at the BIGGEST picture are the ones who are the most surprised by the results of yesterday.

I’ve been repeating lately one of Einstein’s (or whoever) greatest quotes lately: The definition of insanity: “doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result.” I fault the GOP (GOPe) - they did not earn victory. The days of voting for the lesser of evils has been over for years and is over, those millions who are conservative did not participate.

Most every bad thing we see these days was enabled by the GOPe the past generation, the rats do not win because they are better but we lost because the GOPe is worse. Until the likes of Linda Linseed on down are pushed out things will continue to be the same. We are not winners because the other guy is worse, there are no votes there anymore.

Nope, for example the $31,000,000,000,000 deficit was enabled all the way by the GOPe and will continue to get worse until we collapse as a nation. McConnell who is the worst and most evil RINO in our lifetime will see to that the spending, raising of the debt ceiling and so forth will continue unabated.
