The early vote was blue and in a lot of places the much hyped Election Day GOP turnout never materialised.

I said all along that hyping a red wave would only hurt turnout. It did. Overconfident before the football game.

If we hold just a smidgen lead in the house that is good. The only effective ruling lead is a 2/3 majority in both house and senate. But Americans seem not to understand presidential vetoes. They kept talking about reversing this and that, but not possible without 2/3.

Also, even with just small majorities, the media would highlight how ineffective repubs are because nothing is changing. They would hang the recession around repub necks. Now they can’t.

Finally, we need Trump, DeSantis, and others to run. That way there is maximum exposure for repub ideas and fixes. Campaigns, debates, delegate counts... all of that is great exposure. With just one candidate the media can ignore them.

Bottom line: a tiny win in only the house is not the end of the world. It might be best.
