I remember that, too.
He and DJT would not be a good ticket, for very long.
Ideas, agendas, methods, egos, etc would get in the way, IMO.

Ok, I get your opinion.

Did you go to any Trump rallies?

Reckless? I disagree. I have nothing but admiration for Ron DeSantis, however, imo, this is Trumps party!

And your question is silly and shouldn’t matter.

It’s more of an anti-democrat party than anything else. I was voting for the republican nominee in 2016 and in 2020. I will do the same in 2024. I have done the same since my first vote in 1908 for Ronald Reagan.

The GOP establishment is saying we might-might accept DeSantis, we prefer Pence, but will not accept Trump and will throw in with the deep state and Democrats again for another back stab. In doing this they are also hurting 2022 elections back causing strife amongst conservatives.

The GOP establishment will not accept Trump as the nominee and if by a miracle of God he were to win in 2024 they will give their nod to the deep state and Democrats to take him out. They are true sleaze bag leftists who just don’t want to pay high taxes.

That's not a quote from DeSantis -- it's a left-leaning media site claiming that he said that to third parties. We wouldn't trust anything like that on any other topic, so why believe it on this one?

If DeSantis wanted to say that, he could very easily say it publicly himself, as did some others.

And no better way to say thank you from Trump than calling him “desanctimoneous”. Seems to me with remarks like that Trump is goading desantis to run against him.

But then you might be wrong.

Charles BisbeeMD @cabisbee · Nov 5 Sanctimonious means “hypocritically pious or devout” so to be De sanctimonious is to be unhypocritically pious and devout or just pious and devout?
Maria @eleftheria119 · Nov 5 Trump just called Gov. Ron DeSantis DeSanctimoneous. What's going on there...
What a clever play on words.

They can be on the same ticket, but the electors can’t vote for DeSantis for VP per the 12th amendment

That would only apply to Florida electors.

The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves;

https://www.mediaite.com/politics/desantis-telling-donors-he-wont-challenge-trump-in-2024-per-report/

———————————-

I am aware of this. I’m also convinced DeSantis is not running. Yes, this is a RINO ploy to divide the base and many here ARE relishing in it. Every week this crap continues and the comments are corrosive.

My main point: DeSantis has not publicly stated his plans for 2024. He could have done it a year ago but remains quiet about it. The report you shared is secondhand reporting. I don’t doubt the source, I question why DeSantis won’t squash the RINO ploy. His silence only helps him, not the voters. Supposedly he cares a great deal for his constituents and only he can put an end to the speculations. He knows about the ploy and does nothing to stop it. I find that bothersome….

It's simple as far as I see it.   If he makes a statement about 2024, that becomes the "news" instead of his Florida campaign for Governor being the news story he wants in the forefront.

Not necessarily, CNN, Fox, Fox Business, Hannity and obviously many publishers have covered ‘Trump vs DeSantis’ and today it was ‘Top News’ on youtube. No mention of governor’s race and everyone knows he will win handily. It is on FR every week. I watched 4 videos (Corporate media) today alone.

So, it seems that if he truly wanted the focus to be on his race…..it didn’t work.

The demoKKKrats’ election machine is a quiet steamroller. You don’t hear it coming, you know it’s there, and when it hits, it’s over in a blink.

But if the economy rebounds in the second half of Biden’s term, it would be a tough race for Trump.

How could you type that, let alone think it?

are. I wouldn’t have thought it.

To be fair, all politicians have uninformed voters. Most simply vote based on the jersey they are wearing having no clue what policies the ‘jersey’ represents.

Ex. Many Democrats dislike Biden but have no clue that it is the policies that they dislike.

Many republicans support DeSantis, me included. It is the pearl clutchers that want DeSantis to run 2024, which is political suicide for MAGA. Their reasoning is that Trump is mean etc etc and will alienate soccer moms/independents. They are right. But truth be told, it was the media that created the caricature….and they will again regardless of what Trump says or does. Voters that shallow and uninformed cannot be converted or reasoned with. Bending the knee never works, actions work.

If most voters haven’t figured out the difference in their personal life under Biden and Trump, nothing will convince them. No point in stopping the MAGA momentum to accommodate ignorant voters. Trump WILL address the fed agencies assuming we have enough MAGA representatives to help with legislation. The red states will continue to improve and become more independent of the government (I hope).

Lastly, we don’t need a repeat of the Trump/Cruz animosity amongst voters which is exactly why the RINOS, Dems and media are pushing it. It is a distraction.

Yet there will be many more articles posted here to stoke the emotional. Destructive and meaningless…….

Trump unlikely to relocate to NY. Exposes him to legal and tax jeopardy from Letitia James et al.

And, if he couldn’t stop the steal as president, why should we feel confident now?

Hint: elections happen in States with no direct federal interference.   What do you feel President Trump could have done to stop the steal ahead of the election?

For example here in Georgia poll workers lied to stop vote counting, only to start counting again through the night with no oversight, showing a clear spike of votes for Biden.   All they had to do was count fake votes in our Atlanta Suburbs.

Trump needs to go away. For awhile, at least.

I know the election was stolen. Please spare me.

I am watching tonight and Trump seems to think he’ll be running against Joe Biden. Biden won’t be running again.

Then why do you blame President Trump for not being able to stop the steal from happening?

Should he have used the FBI, the Secret Service, Pink Unicorns?
