That’s the problem. Woodward’s book painted a very unflattering view of President Trump - based on his interviews.
Well if they attributed some unflattering statements to Trump then I see three possibilities. Number one, they misquoted him. Number two, they didn’t misquote him but misrepresented the context. Number three, Trump made an unforced error. Let’s suppose it was option three. Trump’s a big boy and nobody forced him to say something he regretted. It could easily happen with a friendly interviewer as well. So what’s Trump supposed to do? Refrain from speaking publicly to avoid mis-speaking or occasionally flubbing his words? That’s not Trump’s style, and for that I’m grateful. It’s his willingness to say what’s on his mind instead of hiding behind pre-screened interviews and scripted speeches that has gained him the trust of so many. It’s his willingness to spar with the enemy that has gained him people’s respect.
If you hide from a fight because you’re afraid you might make a mistake, you’re never going to engage. Trump’s not like that and it’s one of his greatest assets. When a leader is willing to risk an occasional stumble or mis-quote in order to actively defend himself and get his message out, people get it and respect him for it. And they’re willing to look beyond the occasional misstep from a genuine leader who’s willing to fight defend himself and fight for them. It’s not insecurity. It’s a willingness to engage the enemy. And it’s served him well. His popularity continues to grow.

Like I said, he is troller, and the mark of his excellence is that you did not even know he was doing it.
Many of us do know and cheer him on. Now you will see that the MSM is scared to death of him, for the moost part. They will not have him on their programming even though they know their ratings will go through the roof if they had him in their programming.
Trump therefore stands for truth. Which is why he has over 100 million voting followers and counting upwards.

Woodward is playing the tapes so it's kind of hard for Trump to refute it.
