Trump mocks DeSantis at Pennsylvania rally: 'Ron DeSanctimonious'

Former President Donald Trump took a swipe at Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis at a rally on Saturday night referring to him as "Ron DeSanctimonious" in what could be a sign of growing tension between the two potential presidential candidates.

It is my observation that in the end...after all the moaning, pearl clutching, agonizing, ...it usually turns out that:

PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP IS RIGHT.

What are the odds that THIS time he is wrong.

Lake just eclipsed Desantis.

Lake is proven only that she has mastered the television arts and can persuade people who respond to pollsters. She has yet to prove that she can win votes when the votes are counted. She has certainly not yet demonstrated any capacity to govern. She's two steps away.

Desantis has demonstrated an ability to win big with the pollsters, to win votes, when counted, to win office, to govern courageously and almost alone among state governors concerning Covid (contrary to the performance of Donald Trump who succumbed for too long to the Fauci's and Pfizer's of this world) and to govern successfully otherwise.

If the polls are correct, and there is no reason to believe otherwise, he has demonstrated that he can win big when the votes are counted. He has transformed Florida from a 300,000+ registered Democrat state to a 400,000+ Republican state.

He has demonstrated that he can govern in a fiscally sound manner, controlling spending and taxes. That record compares favorably with Trump's.

Lake has no record of any kind and will have no record until Tuesday.

IIRC, there was an event in AZ a few weeks ago called a Primary Election. She DID win votes.

Pretty amazing that she won by that large of a margin considering the extreme cheating in AZ to take her out. It sounds like AZ is one of the worst states when it comes to election fraud.

Traditionally, vice presidents are chosen for "balance" and that usually means which state they can add to the ticket. Often it simply means that the vice president will do no harm and, occasionally, the vice president is seen as an attack dog, like Richard Nixon, who can damage the other side and even, conceivably, win votes for the home team.

Lake has demonstrated an ability to go toe to toe with the media and come out on her feet and even a clear winner. She brings a questionable state, Arizona, to the ticket and would add a few electoral college votes and that is not to be lightly discounted.

She is so good on television and so good in debate that she will not do any harm and likely will do the ticket a lot of good. Even before holding office, especially since we anticipate a big win for her in this race, she has already est. herself as vice presidential timber.

The idea that she's ready for the presidency at this point is simply absurd. The role of a vice presidential candidate is entirely different from the role of a President or even a presidential candidate. It is often the case that the vice presidential candidate is selected by the presidential candidate, not in contemplation of his own mortality, but in contemplation of his earthly electoral chances.

When was the last time Desantis said he was not running in ‘24?
When was the last time Desantis used the term MAGA or America first?
When was the last time Desantis even hinted that the 2020 election was riddled with possible fraud and improprieties ( to say the least )?

Those of us that are polically astute can "sense" that we MAGA types are going to get a trojan horse style attack and Desantis is the door prise. But we have no actual proof of it yet - but I ask:

1. When was the last time Desantis gave any praise to Trump?
