Border Patrol union tells ACLU 'go to hell’ after agents attacked, injured by illegal migrants

Union urges voters to support candidates who will re-establish law and order at the border.

After another clash with foreign nationals illegally entering the U.S., the union representing Border Patrol agents is urging Americans to vote on Nov. 8 for candidates who will defend them, the rule of law, and the southern border.

On Monday, mostly single male Venezuelans, Mexicans and Hondurans crossed the Rio Grande River and attempted to illegally enter the U.S. near El Paso, Texas, and allegedly assaulted Border Patrol agents.

The National Border Patrol Council, the union representing the agents, said, "Make no mistake, all of this madness taking place at our border is on Joe Biden. Every single bit of it. We're stuck with him for two more years and he's not going to change, but you have the opportunity on Nov. 8 to vote his enablers out of office and put a dent in his agenda."

The clash at the border came after agents oversaw more than 2.7 million enforcement actions last fiscal year – a U.S. record – and after at least 33 counties in Texas have called on Gov. Greg Abbott to declare an invasion and repel foreign nationals from illegally entering Texas.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued a statement, saying, "a group of Venezuelan nationals attempted to illegally enter the United States while protesting. One of the protesters assaulted an agent with a flagpole. A second subject threw a rock causing injury to an agent at which time agents responded by initiating crowd control measures," including an authorized "less-lethal force pepperball launching system."

Kinney County Attorney Brent Smith, who’s called on Gov. Greg Abbott to declare an invasion at the southern border, told The Center Square, “Our border security has deteriorated to such a point that persons attempting to illegally enter our country now brazenly carry their Venezuelan flag while they assault our border patrol agents. Violence and lawlessness runs rampant across our southern border. America’s front door is being kicked in. This is what an invasion looks like.”

What happened evidences “the patchwork policy of selective border enforcement, degradation of the rule of law, and loss of respect for U.S. sovereignty, all caused by the ineptitude of the Biden Administration,” international law expert Jonathan Hullihan told The Center Square. The agents’ capabilities, he added, evidenced “that if a political will existed in Washington, D.C., the United States has a way to use duly enacted legal authority” to secure the border. OK, where are the so called Freepers who are all in for pouring tax dollars and US military equipment into the Ukraine? Here is the US being straight up invaded and there is virtually no pushback other than some ‘non lethal’ response. What is wrong with people here who piss and moan about the brave Uke’s and how important their cause is? This is your country being invaded, and yes the President does have the powers to send the armed forces and mobilize the National Guard. the Posse Comitatus argument is without merit. During the period of 1915 to 1921 the US Army and the Az, NM, and Texas NG were constantly involved in actions to repel invaders along the southern border.

Past legal immigration: when they came for a job and a better future for them and their families.

Current illegal immigration: when they come for benefits, welfare, and no consideration for their future.

Well...

1) I'm flattered that you pinged me, of all folks here, to partake in your strawman argument, and...

2) Defeating the Russians in Ukraine and unmuzzling and unleashing the Border Patrol against illegal aliens are NOT mutually exclusionary objectives. In fact, I'm all for letting the Border Patrol do their jobs and round up and throw the illegals out of the country.

So how exactly do these relate to each other again?

The Border Patrol is outclassed in this invasion and army and national guard forces are required. Virtually no money for the US border but massive quantities of money and equipment for the Ukraine. No military for closing the border nut a third of the combat striking power of the 82nd ABD to be sent to the Rumania. You are not that corrupt or stupid not to get the drift. The US government doesn’t care about an invasion over the southern border but is obsessed with the eastern border of a foreign country thousands of miles away. Real normal Americans are being betrayed again and you are concerned about the Ukraine.

Here's the problem, Comrade Wombat...putting the military in charge of controlling the border HAS BEEN TRIED before in modern memory, and it ended in disaster!

U.S. Troops Went to the Border in 1997. They Killed an American Boy.

Esequiel Hernández Jr.

Grand Jury to Examine Fatal Shooting of 18-Year-Old by Marine

INVESTIGATION TO INQUIRE INTO THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE JOINT TASK FORCE-6 (JTF-6) SHOOTING INCIDENT THAT OCCURRED ON 20 MAY 1997 NEAR THE BORDER BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND MEXICO

Which is why the U.S. Armed Forces won't touch that mission with a 10-foot pole.

So get back to me when you figure out what you're actually talking about and demanding.

If the President makes it clear it will be done or heads will roll it will happen along with direct statements that the US will guard its frontiers and unfortunate accidents are a minor price to pay. If some rounds land in Mexico, tough. The US did this from 1915 to 1921 on the border and fought numerous firefights with intruders and one full scale battle at Nogales. The RINOs want to constantly use this scare tactic. The authority of the President to protect the nation is virtually unlimited, all that is needed is a patriot not a lawyer or academic pushing the hammer down.

Comrade Wombat, you really don't know what you are talking about.

From the USMC JTF6 Investigation Report:

Cpl Torrez said that the first time he heard Cpl Banuelos explain why he shot Mr. Hernandez was when they were interviewed collectively by a psychologist. He said that Cpl Banuelos simply said that "we reacted in a military way, we moved tactically, things like that. He said that -- he did say that Hernandez was aiming in on Blood and that's why he did it. That's the first time I heard that, was when we were with the psychologist."

It doesn’t matter if a few mex types, or a lot for that matter get killed in flakey circumstances, just as in 1918 what matters is thee is armed push back against invaders.
Large numbers of US military who are heavily armed and told their job is to guard the border and there will be no questions asked about what is done to accomplish that will end this invasion. That the USMC even has some staff bullshit agency called the G-6 is another problem to be dealt with.

Wow...so you're A-OK with the accidental killing of American citizens and even kids and teenagers, just for the cause?

Breaking eggs for omelets and all that, not to mention your just-revealed racism against "a few mex types," i.e. Hispanics?

You really are clueless and have no moral compass.

To defend the territorial integrity of the US border from third world hordes there is nothing that is off the table. This is literally existential for that reason there is only win/lose a few dead or a lot of dead for that matter are completely unimportant. That is the difference with the Ukraine which is completely unimportant to normal Americans. Invaders, especially turd world invader, of the US should be killed, period, end of sentence. If some others get in the way tough. The defense of American territorial integrity is superior morally to any consideration. I don’t care how many bodies are left on the ground as long as that garbage rabble is driven back. Are you some sort of turd world apologist or just a ‘good’ person who has a’conscience’ superior to the exitense of your country?

The ends justify the means on the border, eh? Including accidental killings of America citizens by the U.S. Armed Forces?

That's just sick and twisted.

In defense of the US, the country not the state, there are no boundaries. You obviously have no problem with the country being invaded and America being turned into a third world nation. You are a traitor and all like you are at the most fundamental and basic level.

Soldiers exist to go in harm’s way. I never for a moment thought the people commanding me in Viet Nam cared anything about my personal welfare only the execution of the mission. US shells, bombs, and bullets have routinely killed many American soldiers , this was well known, and unless the press stuck their noses in the attitude correctly was too bad, cost of battle.
