Will Lucy Move the Football Again?
American Thinker ^ | November 4,2022 | By Paul E. Scates

And there is hope, for some of those running for House and Senate seats are not the “good ol’ boys” of the GOP establishment like Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Kevin McCarthy, et al. If they’re to be believed, J.D. Vance, Blake Masters, et al, actually recognize that it has been Republican inaction and malfeasance that has helped lead to this destruction. Should they win the Senate, their first move must be to ditch McConnell as majority leader, and start us on the path of undoing the damage of the past two years caused by the Democrats (with the help of the GOP establishment).

But they had better not “move the football” again. If this new breed of GOP politicians “go along in order to get along,” that will be the death knell of the Republican Party. More importantly, if the Republicans win majorities in the House and Senate and don’t immediately, actively, and decisively roll back the Democrat idiocy of the past two years, it will be the end of this nation.

So, the ball is teed up… we, the voters, are going to “kick the football.” What are you going to do, Republicans?

Idea: Use blackmail leverage to get Mitch to volunteer to step down to have more time to be with his family.

Playing nice has never worked. Dems and Communists do not respect that or sympathize with weaklings. End that stuff.
So long, Mitch.

I don’t think anyone of those candidates have been asked who they vote for in the Senate majority leader election.

Maga leadership or not I’d settle for competent leadership for a change.

I have been saying all of this for a while now. Destroying the dems next Tuesday is Step 1, but even more important is Step 2, which is to push the do-nothing Republican establishment aside and actually accomplish everything that is being promised. If the RINOs succeed yet again in snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, then there will be no choice left but to form a third party around MAGA. We essentially already have a third party within a party right now, or will have after Tuesday, and contrary to the doomsayers that stealth third party is about to dominate the political scene. Up till now, we’ve wisely used the existing Republic infrastructure to build a base for MAGA, but if the usual suspects get in the way once again there will be no choice but to cast them adrift to sink and set out on a new course under a different banner.

We have a unique and fragile opportunity right now. Millions of voters who have never or rarely voted for Republicans before, including many disaffected democrats, are so worried about the state of the country that they’ve finally decided to give Republicans a chance. But we’ll only get one shot at this, and if McConnell, McCarthy, and the RINOs blow it, we’ll never get these people back again. These new Republican voters are voting Republican because they have nowhere else to turn in their time of desperation and they expect ACTION. We must deliver on our promises if we expect to keep this coalition together for the long haul. The first step must be to throw McConnell and the rest of the RINOs over the cliff for good, both to preserve the coming mid-term victory and to prevent them from interfering with the coming third Trump candidacy.

If the new Trump senators don’t have sufficient votes to kick McConnell to the curb, they should threaten to caucus with the Democrats and elect Schumer as the Senate leader unless the Pubbies settle on a more acceptable compromise candidate.

>Nothing is going to be ‘rolled back’ with Republican control of Congress. There won’t be enough votes to over ride a Biden/Harris veto. The best we can hope for is for them to stop the democrat idiocy from moving forward.

That said, watch for movement on all kinds of demo wet-dream legislation in the lame-duck session.

Well said. About the best we can hope for, with majorities in the House and Senate, are serious investigations of the nastiness the Democrats and Deep State have done.

I’ve seen this movie before:

- The Regan Revolution: cancelled by George H W Bush

- The Tea Party: cancelled by the GOP

- MAGA: Actively being crushed by “both parties” since 2016

You have the root case wrong.

All of those were crushed by the Media in collusion with the Deep State.

Now, about 60% of the people no longer trust the media.

If Republicans gain control of Congress, it shows:

The Media's ability to control the information flow has been eroded beyond repair.

Absolutely she will.

They’ll be more pressing matters to deal with than the reckoning that is warranted.

Nothing will happen to Fauci or Pfizer.

Nothing will happen to the FBI/DOJ

Nothing will be done with Hunter and the laptop.

Domestic oil production will not increase.

And the border will not be closed by the Fed’s.

ASTONISHED.

Big Fear #3

GOP takes the House and the Senate.

THEN: A hundred million dollars or so of SOROS/CHINA/DRUG CARTEL/SAUDI corruption fly around enough to make a sufficient number of thoughtful, well-respected, sensible, reasonable, well-mannered, well-dressed, RINOs wear pale blue Forward! ties and step into the Swamp as New Democrats. Question is, how many would it take and how many play the role anyway from the “R” side already?

“hundred million dollars”? That might not even buy 2 US Senators, much less a significant political faction.

Austin Powers moment.

“One Hundred *** Beelyon *** Dollars...”

There, fixed it. Probably less than the NEA/AFLCIO/etc. budget for transgender support “education” lobbying.

Love to see Mitch go but if we have a one or two vote majority Romney and Murkowski will switch parties if Mitch is removed. They may do it anyway. Can’t stand the two of them.

Hear! Hear!

It's referred to as Deep State for a reason.
The many roots buried, awaiting a freshly applied
fertilizer. Praying we see more MTG in the freshmen
coming in this January. Do we dare hold hope?

House can cut spending. And if Biden vetoes it the government shuts down…best thing that could happen…

Rick Scott’s plan has the answer…get rid of every department and send the money back to the states…then the voters have a say…

Hopefully, Murkowski is gone, but people in AK may need to write in their ballots with Tshibaka as their top choice followed by Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as their alternate votes.
