Living near a big liberal urban center... we do have a digital subscription to the local paper for reference, but we typically do not bother watch or listen to local news anymore. But my wife and I can always tell when the media has renewed their push on the latest Covid hysteria. Suddenly, a sizable percentage of people at the grocery store are wearing masks again.
I spent countless hours driving seniors to places where they could get flu shots for little or no cost to them. My wife is a retired nurse and department head at multi-level skilled facilities. The places she worked at sometimes lost dozens of residents in a month when a bad flu passed through. The flu shots actually did help prevent that type of carnage.
Working as a hazmat fire officer for many years I was vaccinated much more frequently than the general public and never had any serious side effects. Despite my experiences I have completely lost my faith in pharmaceutical companies to do the right thing. It is pretty sad and goes right along with the general decline in society.
Interesting. The local news here isn't pushing masks/mandates although I see plenty of people wearing them.
