Seriously, can anyone name a well-run Democratic city?

Our Southern city suffers from the reverse Midas effect. Everything they touch turns to chit. As soon as they annex a suburb the place becomes a ghetto in 5-10 years.

Sorry, Langauage Police are here . . .

it’s “Democrat”-run, not “Democratic”-run.

40 lashes with a wet noodle for you!

It’s just one of those things that make my eyeballs wiggle.

The dems in charge don’t want to manage their cities well. They want them to fail. They want the residents to be out of work and dependent. They want more homeless. They invite “migrants” to settle there.

They ask the state for money. They ask the federal government for money. The productive citizens wind up paying.

Working just as they planned.

Bookmarked. There is a paper on this, The Curley Effect, Edward L. Glaeser & Andrei Shleifer, 2002.

A great way to stay in power, and a bad way to run any real democratic society.

Exactly. At some point, reality will hit the road.

I should say, though...it will only become evident to some percentage of “Liberals”, those too lazy, busy, ignorant, or unable to think for themselves.

The “Leftists” who would vote for Stalin even after they themselves are being carted off to Gulags on the very orders of Stalin, well, they will not see the light even as the bullet ordered by Stalin enters their brains.

Those Leftists will love Stalin to the last, there is no converting them.

Like Chicago under Daly. Sure it was corrupt - everyone knew it. But the city worked.

I dare even the most die-hard, dyed-in-the-wool Democrat to say, “Oh, New York has never been better. In fact, it’s just getting better and better.” Does anyone really believe that? Is there a single person out there who can really say that with a straight face?

If enough democrats get elected they'll turn the whole country into a hellhole - just like they do with our 'once beautiful' cities.

If enough democrats get elected they'll turn the whole country into a hellhole like Chicago or Portland or San Francisco. We still have the power to stop them. VOTE as if your life depends on it... cause it does.

The democrat run cities are "Well Run" alright!

Well run right into the sewer.....

They are so bad that the idiot 'rat voters responsible for the devastation can no longer stand to live in their own creations.

So now they are bailing out in 'rat hordes to infest other towns and cities with their nuclear grade globalist idiocy.

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of The Curley Effect. It makes complete sense about how Democrats operate. They are the party of the elite and the government dependent.

For many decades, when a Dem spoke of “workers“, they only meant union members. Now they’re openly trying to destroy the private sector middle-class.

Charlotte isn’t bad...but I see the early signs of eventual degradation. One is the local sheriff refusing to pursue minor traffic issues. Sheriff had long ago quit cooperating with the Feds. Can no cash bail be far behind? The police abandoned blocked drivers on the interstate during a riot a few years back. Seems to be more “tent people” around.

Yes. I said the same thing. Was there over the summer. I walked all over the place, even between 1 and 2 am, never felt unsafe. It’s clean, which was the biggest surprise.
