I wish it were possible to have an amicable divorce from the left and allow them to run their own country however they see fit and let them experience the fruits of their error as they become another Venezuela.
Unfortunately, the left’s ideology is based on the idea that wealth generation just magically happens on its own, and leftwing politicians have the divine right of kings when it comes to confiscating all wealth and natural resources for their pure-of-heart, good-natured goal of saving humanity (from ourselves).
In other words, liberalism always relies on the generous use of other people’s money. If you’re a leftwing politician in some hellhole like Venezuela, it’s always someone else’s fault your country is ruined.
