The article says specifically Wayback Machine, that doesn’t do it automatically.
It depends on how you make your site.
We never made our old company site accessible to wayback, but I found it on there the other day.
Wayback Machine does do it automatically, but if you want it to do it NOW, you have to be proactive. Or so I have been told.
