That’s why this story is utterly unbelievable.
By most measures the Pelosis have a net worth of something north of $100 million. You expect me to believe that they didn’t even have a commercial security system, such as, even ADT??? But wait, it gets crazier. Apparently, there is home surveillance video. You mean to tell me they have home security cameras but those cameras are not connected to any security service, especially in crime ridden San Fransisco? Mind you, the guy would be considered a high-value target, not to mention his net worth, and huh, no connected security system. No way.
And nobody has asked this point blank, but when - exactly - was the window broken? I have a sneaky suspicion the window may have been broken after the event and right before the, a-hem, “investigation” started to make it look like a break-in.
What would most people do if they hear a loudly smashed window at 2 A.M.? I’ll tell you what I’d do, the first thing is I’d reach for my shotgun and immediately call 9-1-1 before I started looking around in the dark, and again after the loud crashing of your window at 2 A.M.. But that’s not what happened. Something, actually a lot of things, just aren’t adding up here, at all.

Yep. We are supposed to believe that a weird guy broke into the Pelosi home at 2 AM. Not a single alarm went off. And then this weird guy was able to locate Paul Pelosi in what is presumably a large house, and then attack him.
And what about Paul Pelosi, himself? We are supposed to believe that he doesn’t barricade himself in a locked room. Instead he decides to confront this weird guy.
As you noted, if I heard a window break in the middle of the night, I’d go for a weapon. And I’d be behind a locked door, calling 911. I wouldn’t be in some hallway, ready to wrestle with some nut over a hammer.
Any idea why Depape yelled out, “Where is Nancy?” I think there was a money problem and Depape wanted Nancy to solve the problem.
