I’m with you. I’m baffled by this story. I skimmed the story at the link waiting for some explanation of this woman’s trauma beyond Letterman’s alleged mispronunciation of her name, but I didn’t see anything. I was expecting some explanation how Letterman had belittled her work, made fun of her looks, trashed movie, etc. etc., but ... nada. Letterman said her name wrong? How? May-uh instead of my-uh? The horror, the horror. If that’s the most humiliating thing that ever happened to her, she’s led a charmed life.
And, likewise, I can’t freakin’ stand Letterman. Such a nasty, snotty s.o.b., yet I find myself in the weird position of defending him on this one
