David Depape is the suspect accused of attacking Paul Pelosi, the husband of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with a hammer in the couple’s home on October 28, leaving Paul with serious blunt-force trauma.
Police confirmed the suspect’s name. Depape is a Berkeley, California, resident. What are Depape’s politics and was he on social media? On a blog and website, he was fixated on censorship and made antisemitic comments. In one post, he ranted about government attempts to control information, calling for the arrest of journalists from prominent news organizations. He also posted COVID and election conspiracy theories online. Online records give Depape’s age as 42.
After receiving a call and being dispatched on an “A-priority wellbeing check” in the early morning hours of October 28, 2022, San Francisco police officers encountered an “adult male and [Nancy] Pelosi’s husband, Paul” in the Pelosi home, Chief Bill Scott said in a news conference. “Our officers observed Mr. Pelosi and the suspect both holding a hammer. The suspect pulled the Hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it. Our officers immediately tackled the suspect and disarmed him and took him into custody, requested emergency backup and rendered medical aid.”

Something else to remember. Pelosi’s phone was connected to the 911 call center and live so it will have recorded the voices in the room.

wasn’t there considerable info floating around that Pelosi was NOT alone in the car when he got in the crash as well? Perhaps that was DePape or some other guy....
I suspect the “well being” check was actually Paul Pelosi activating some kind of panic “button”... the authorities probably don’t want their security methods to get out....
But yeah, I think there is more to this story... 2 incidents involving Paul Pelosi within the year... and there had been previous threats and vandalism at the house... DePage needs to go away for a very long time, and Capitol police need to clean up their act. Jan 6th and now this.
