that’s why I wish I was student again at UF, I would counter protest these fools.
When I was a student at UF, Jimmy Carter was POTUS and the Iran hostage crises was going on, I got involved in a protest carrying signs that advocated dropping Nukes on Iran unless they released our citizens. It was great fun, it would be fun to counter protest these fools.
I know when I was at UF, these nuts are just a very vocal minority. But everyone else is just to apathetic to counter them, so they get their way.
I was in college at the same time. It would be fun to go back and bait and engage and counter-protest these people. Otherwise I think being in college today would be a frustrating and suffocating experience. My college was liberal, not leftist, and that meant that true diversity of opinion and freedom of expression were supported, and most of the lunatic creeds and identify politics that dominate things today hadn’t even been imagined.
