We don’t know if yelling “Where’s Nancy” wasn’t simply asking if Paul Pelosi was alone so he wouldn’t be surprised or if she was in another room calling the police.

It may not have been him specifically targeting her.

My sources also name the suspect in this morning’s hammer attack on Paul Pelosi as David DePape, born 1980, of Berkeley.

He would appear to be a former Castro nudist protester.

Things appear set to be bizarre for a while.

If the police said that Pelosi was holding the hammer and the suspect took it from him, it bolsters the thought that he didn't go there armed with the intent to harm.

Attacking Pelosi with a deadly weapon may have been an opportunistic act. He may have just been a whacked out person who thought he could protest Nancy Pelosi face-to-face.
