Exactly these types of statements - uncritically reported by our media - are what convinces me that we are not being told "the truth". They get reported as though this tactic is somehow new and/or some type of criminal activity (the only crime would be the targeting of civilians).
NATO has used these tactics in the past, stating that the targeting of "Dual Use" facilities such as bridges, power stations, factories, water supplies and so forth was justified as they were also of use to the military.
IOW, it's okay when we do it, but a war crime if they do it.
It is a shame that none of our noble journalists in the west are willing to at least add context and balance to their reporting (not that the Russians are any better, but that is their problem).
The West has a smug self righteous when it comes to killing civilians. There maybe countries who can castigate Russia, but the U.S isn’t one of them.
“IOW, it’s okay when we do it, but a war crime if they do it.”
Well, they are Russians, and therefore it is a crime. At least that’s the Neocon position.
