Well, in one sense she is kind of right, but it’s not just America. The fact is that people of sub-Saharan descent tend to be ‘sinkers’. That is, even with full lungs of air, they tend to sink. This is the sort of thing that discourages swimming since to avoid drowning you have to expend a lot of your energy to keeping your head above water. It has to do with average body density.

This is not to say that black cannot swim, it’s just they find it more difficult and so naturally tend to avoid it.

Are track or basketball racist because more blacks excel at them than whites or hispanics?

If this is true it makes a lot of sense, here in Louisiana black kids drown in disproportionate numbers to whites and I have never figured out why. Same ages, same river or lake, black boys just do seem to sink frequently.
