100% of the people who voted for him, and the majority of those had probably never heard of him either until he actually ran for Congress.

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make. Everybody starts from somewhere and goes through a process of becoming increasingly wider known as they get more exposure. That's the normal course of politics. Mike Pompeo is an extraordinarily high achieving guy who had success both serving his country and as a private businessman, then got himself elected to Congress.

If he wants to run foe President, then he's probably counting on making a name for himself in debates, and as the process moves forward. He probably won't succeed, but he certainly has the right to try.

no one is entitled to the presidency. I think it is a bad decision by Mike Pompeo if he runs but I won’t be overly critical of him for doing it. everyone should realize it is a liberal’s wet dream to see a fight in the primaries over this.
