It’s very fair. America is despised in most Arab countries. It’s common that people pretend to be Canadian, Brit, Russian, or whatever they can pass for when traveling there.

That’s interesting, since a lot of Americans live and work in KSA, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Jordan; without any problem. And all of them are Arab countries.
