It is fun to see the frustration and outrage in the voices of such Beltway gnomes as Tapper and Brazile, over the failed assumption that their control of the narrative would result in anything substantive outside the echo chamber. Blaming the audience isn’t helping. In fact, the country has accepted the ridiculous Punch & Judy show for what it is, and this latest quivering palpitation as one last cry for personal attention on the part of people who have seen the polls and know their time is coming to an end. No one wants to end up like Liz Cheney but it is probably too late to do anything about it.
