The Russian military continues to lose ground in Kherson. Damage to the Crimean Bridge turns out to be more extensive than initially reported. Russia is also getting very creative and desperate to find Russian men to mobilize, including lawyers and musicians.

Ukraine has Syrian ISIS affiliates in their ranks and plenty of mercs from everywhere
Russia has Syrian Assad forces too
As well as Albanians and Libyan
Most foreign fighters both sides are central Asian

Russian mobilization will be up to 2.5 million. Almost all of which will have little to no training, winter clothing, modern arms or kit. Of that number, upwards of 80% are not expected to return to Russia alive and whole - per article on FR a week or two ago.

If the politicians and “special “people do serve, most of the time they do in a protected capacity away from the place where you die.
