Russian Guards unit in major revolt as Putin faces catastrophic collapse in army morale

Members of the brigade published a video to social media on October 13, in which they complained about suffering from fatigue and a lack of vital military hardware. consented to and to improve our understanding of you.

Vladimir Putin is facing another military revolt, after an army guards unit publicly complained about a lack of critical military equipment and of suffering from exhaustion. The 126th Coastal Defence Brigade is believed to be currently on military duties in the Kherson region. The area has seen intense fighting in recent weeks, as Ukraine's army continues its counteroffensive to retake the province and the port city of Kherson, which is strategically located on the Dnipro River and Black Sea.

The brigade is a detachment of Russia's Black Sea Fleet and was only recently granted the "Guards" honorific.

The award was intended to compensate the unit for the heavy losses it suffered, while unsuccessfully attempting to capture Voznesensk in southrern Ukraine earlier in the campaign.

However, the soldiers appear to be increasingly unhappy with the conditions in which they are having to serve. Members of the brigade published a video to social media on October 13, in which they complained about suffering from fatigue and a lack of vital military hardware.

They said they had been on active duty since the beginning of the war and had not been granted any breaks or rotation. Moreover, they asserted that they were being "crushed" by Ukraine's army and were in desperate need of transport.

The Guardsmen claimed that they had only one BTR (armoured personnel vehicle) for 80 people.

In their public address to Putin, the troops said: "We are soldiers from the 126th brigade.

"Since the first day of the war we have been fulfilling our orders to defend the Crimea and its citizens.

"Ukrainian nationalists are attacking us with artillery, drones and modern weaponry.

"Our mobility is being seriously hampered by a lack of adequate transport.

"We are fighting a modern war and need be able to get around quickly. We have one BTR left for 80 people.

"We are hoping that you will support us."

Chuck Pfarrer, a former US Navy Seal and military analyst, described the public appeal as a "classic case of insubordination and a crime just short of mutiny". Following the publication of the video, the Wagner militia sent the brigade four off-road vehicles in support of their efforts to hold the frontline in the Kherson province.

Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) saw the move as a play by the group's founder and financier Yegeny Prigozhin, to further undermine the authority and standing of Russia's Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu.

In their Saturday war bulletin, they wrote: "This exchange is noteworthy in light of ISW’s previous assessment that Wagner Group financier Yevgeny Prigozhin is actively attempting to curry favour with Russian President Vladimir Putin and set Wagner Group forces apart from conventional MoD forces.

"The move to donate basic equipment to a detachment of conventional Russian ground forces may be an implicit critique of the MoD’s apparent inability to provide such necessities to its own soldiers."

It comes as UK's Ministry of Defence said that Moscow was unlikely to be able to replenish its diminishing missile stocks.

Last Monday, the Russian President fired some 80 cruise missiles at cities across Ukraine, causing huge devastation, as well as killing and injuring many people.

The MoD said on Sunday: "Russia’s defence industry is probably incapable of producing advanced munitions at the rate they are being expended.

"These attacks represent a further degradation of Russia’s long-range missile stocks, which is likely to constrain their ability to strike the volume of targets they desire in future."

I prefer observing maps which are better at telling the story.....sooooooo....thus far Putin's got his land-bridge and I think he may let the portion north of the river in the Kherson area stay with Ukraine. So of course Ukraine's going to claim they pushed Russia out but we'll see how it goes if Ukraine tries to cross the river.

At any rate regardless of Ukraine's claims to fame - they've lost their land Putin determined he needs to secure his country border area there... and ports.

“Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray’s case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect. I call these the “wet streets cause rain” stories. Paper’s full of them.

In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.

That is the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect. I’d point out it does not operate in other arenas of life. In ordinary life, if somebody consistently exaggerates or lies to you, you soon discount everything they say. In court, there is the legal doctrine of falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus, which means untruthful in one part, untruthful in all. But when it comes to the media, we believe against evidence that it is probably worth our time to read other parts of the paper. When, in fact, it almost certainly isn’t. The only possible explanation for our behavior is amnesia.”

I assume you have some Russian Troops on duty for a year without getting R & R?

The most powerful lobby in DC by far is the Ukrainian lobby. Ahead of the Saudis. Ahead of Israel. And it is paying off in the Senate, esp

The Ukrainian firsters also have their UCCA lobbying for “ukraine”..

We have given the Ukraine more foreign aid than the next three combined countries.

Apparently dirty money really really talks. and talks, and talks.

That Captain was sacked. This is was once in multi-decades case of insubordination.

In this Ukraine situation there is an awful lot of this stuff happening, and Wagner is behind a lot of it. There are two or three other videos of conscript draftees complaining about their weapons, with a couple of the guys wearing Wagner patches. This is interesting and notable.

General Winter - also known as General Frost - is today the stuff of legend. With winter fast approaching and the Ukraine War showing no signs of abating, now is the perfect time to dig deeper into the history of conflict and Russian climate… and what this may mean for Kyiv and Moscow in 2022.

Crank, I really don't have a dog in their fight.

If they want to kill one another, I see it as their problem not mine.

I can't stop their war; I don't support either side in their war.

If you think you can contribute in someway for the better you are welcome to go ahead.

Your opinion of what I want or don't won't is your opinion. You are welcome to it and all the comfort it brings to you.

You need to work harder. This isn’t nearly as entertaining as “russians out of missiles” or “russians forgot food and eat dogs”.surely you can find better propaganda than this?

The Express is not “far left”. Its always backed the British Conservatives.

If you want to claim that they are “far left” from your POV, go ahead, but you are, of course, a looney. Thats like the US media calling anyone not a Democrat “far right”.

In this war there is propaganda. Big whoop. Welcome to all wars ever. Us groundlings, as usual, have to evaluate truth out of “spun” news. Which also as usual requires checking of sources. This source is one of yours, propaganda meant for Russian inside baseball arguments.

As for your complaints about not very many people in the “west” backing Russia, well, big whoop there too.

Ridiculous. I have never seen so much propaganda.

On a related note, in response to your Freepmail, one, Ransomnote has been here forever he is no troll, and two, you don’t have to be a troll to oppose Ukraine and funneling billions of US dollars there which should be going to US citizens.

Did you see the pictures of Hunter with those little six and seven year old Ukrainian girls with the flowers in their hair? That was the beginning of a blackmail video, used by some intel op to control him. It was in Ukraine because they control that courtesy of Soros, and can get away with it there.

I don’t know if you are fully aware of the conspiracy running the US, but I have run into it. Check my surveillance page. I’ve seen it firsthand, as have several other Freepers here. You would not believe the covert intelligence operation they have created in the US, right in the model of the East German Stasi, which harasses people for what they say online.

It is a full on CIA-like intel operation which uses children as sexual blackmail, and elevates pedos like Biden. And it controls our government. I have literally got video from the surveillance camera in front of my house of the 10 year old kid next door talking to another ten year old kid in the surveillance machine, about running surveillance. They are running those kids in the schools, against other kids, to keep down the high-flyers who could have been a threat one day.

That was what Epstein was really involved with, and the media will not talk about it, even as there are pics of Epstein with the little seven year old girls on his lap. Intel, using children as sexual honeypots. Nobody can touch his little black book now because the government and much of the media are comped by this thing.

Very bad stuff is going on, and I think Soros took over Ukraine, and installed this conspiracy’s people leading it because they wanted a nation where they could do anything, launder money, grab up little girls for the pedo-blackmail, even run biotech research without all the need for ethics and legal strictures.

Supporting Ukraine is supporting evil at this point, and as much as I hate to say it, it is evil because it is infected with whatever has infected our government, and rigged our election, installing Biden.

Know going forward, you are supporting very bad things happening to very helpless children, and funneling billions of US Dollars to the people doing it.

GREAT!
I don’t track anyone opinions. But, sometimes responses seem so similar!!! Probably just coincidence :)

I am only concerned with those ‘Trolling’ as embedded agents trying to indoctrinate with their Prog Left Socialist Policy. I just recently became aware of “troll farms.” But, I don’t believe they exist on FR.

I respect the Free Republic forum that offers the freedom of expression and honor the right for all to share divergent opinions. As for ‘snarky’ Freeper comments, I try not to make or respond to them. Rather, I consider that type of response silly, sometimes foolish, but certainly not “trolling.”

I did feel compelled to ask the question because I do value the Free Republic forum and don’t want it to become the platform for negative agendas.

Again, thank you for your kind response :)
