Astrophysicists suggest most of Mars atmosphere was blown away by about 3.2 billion years ago. Climate “modelers” forget that mars does not have a molten mostly metal core, like earth, and because of that Mars has only a very feeble magnetic field emanating from its crust (unlike Earth’s very strong magnetosphere). Because of that Mars has had little to protect an atmosphere or the surface from the solar wind or even just the high energy solar particles from the sun. The sun, not local climate change, ended watery life possibilities on Mars.
I have recently taken an Astronomy course in college, and that is exactly why. No metallic core > No magnetic field > solar winds blow away the atmosphere for lack of said magnetic field. Mars surface is highly radioactive compared to Earth since it has no protection from the Sun. Nothing can live on its surface unless it can be protected from radiation.
It may be a theory, but it is much more grounded in reality than renegade germs.
Great comments. The left is always trying to associate mars climate to what man could do to earth's climate. Suggesting the same could happen here because of man. You start talking about metal cores and magnetic fields and they become uncomfortable and disconnected.
