"S-300 is an anti-aircraft weapon..."

It's no good as an antiaircraft weapon, so the Russians fire it in the general direction of civilians on the ground. They've done the same with S-300s many times.

“S-300 is an anti-aircraft weapon...”

This is true.

And more than a bit questionable against certain aircraft and well trained pilots.

Israeli F-16’s have had a number of S-300’s missiles launched at them, from both Syrian and Russian controlled systems, and have been able to fly their missions and get home.

Maybe not so odd, as there were so many missiles fired at the planes, the one confirmed exception was in February 2018, when as many as 50 missiles (including the S-300) were launched from various Syrian based systems, and an Israeli F-16 was actually hit by an S-200.

The crew were able to get back to Israel, and eject in Israeli airspace.

A number of Russian and Syrian manned S-300 missiles have been fired at Israeli planes since 2018, without any more take downs.
