I’m no demolition expert. Just tossing theory out there.

It is all looking good today for Ukraine guerilla fighters.
There are reports elsewhere that it involved a sea drone with explosives - a) one washed up recently and b) there was a boat bow visible at the moment of the explosion.
Only the paranoid survive. I will add the worried too. I read this book!

I would think it would be extraordinarily difficult to destroy a bridge with a truck bomb.
Doesn’t look very “destroyed” to me. Only half the roadway and the rail line is untouched.

And you imagine that that was a one off? There will be another and another etc - in this prelude to major attacks.

Globalist Propaganda!!!
Sunken Civ...... LIKE! Burning bridge Photos.
It is an act of terrorism but oh well. It’s a war. There will be casualties. No doubt innocent people were murdered by this.
One roadway is destroyed for a few weeks. One is undamaged. Which puts Putanistas on notice, as far as what might come. The railway looks full of flaming/flamed out wreckage that will take a week to remove an repair that particular span.

The moment of the explosion on the Crimean Bridge was recorded by security cameras.
At the 5 sec mark - two frames show a boat bow is visible - 1 frame you can see a bow wake - 2nd frame you can see the boat bow - 3rd frame is the explosion.
The fire appeared very energetic, hot and lasted for some extended time. It is likely that intense heat damaged the concrete and compromised rebar in the prestressed concrete beams. At the least, the load capacity of the affected spans are reduced. At worst the spans are junk.
It will probably be a week or three until engineers figger this out accurately. Information coming out over the next few days (including mine) will be guesses at best.
My opinions….
Gravity is what holds the spans in place. An underwater explosion could have lifted the span(s) up and off their supports
“The pillars were taken out, from the underside.”
They are still there. Bridges have expansion/contraction joints and are semi-free floating sections where they sit on the pillars. A big enough jolt would knock them loose with no problem.
From the security footage it looks like a truck bomb. If it was a engineered demolition why blow up only one span and leave the other intact?
Interesting - I’m betting a CIA explosive with GPS detonator.
2 through 3 second mark boat bow visible immediately before explosion. It is near or at dead center under the span.
