I burn about 1000 lbs of JP8 per hour in the Apache helicopter. I fly on average three hours per day, five days per week. There’s about 100 sorties per day at my installation. And that’s just the Apache.
This is ludicrous policy that has no chance in succeeding at its stated goal. But it will take me out of the cockpit to receive “climate sensitivity training.”
I’m retiring, just not soon enough.
