I can attest to the design and intended
protections for VIP’s. The vehicles they
travel in are specially designed to
protect the occupants mainly from small
arms ground attack and lower scale IED’s.
Anything more is “need to know”.
I might add that the vehicle did in fact
have a mechanical failure as the vehicles’
tire(s) are bullet proof and would not
go flat due to curb impact. More than
likely, a severely bent wheel and/or
damaged steering/suspension components.
