A most unfortunate occurance - this was in the Atlanta newspaper. A man was driving with his wife and daughter during a noisy thunderstorm. The daughter was distraught, so her mother got in the backseat to console her. The neighborhood was old-growth trees and one fell on the car’s backseat area, leaving the father unharmed. His wife and daughter were killed.

The neighborhood was old-growth trees and one fell on the car’s backseat area,

Many years ago I was visiting Mexico City. We were in a cab going through Chapultepec Park when a car ahead of us was crushed by a tree that just fell over across the lanes of traffic. The back of the car was crushed down to the wheels. Thankfully no one was in the back seat. The woman passenger got out of the car and starting screaming at the driver like it was somehow his fault. Well, to be fair, he got out of the car and just left her there to figure out how to get out.
