Neither did Reagan the “idiot”. The Soviet Union wasn’t defeated by backing down out of fear of “MAD”. Reagan was deploying Pershing 2 missiles all over Europe threatening to destroy the Soviet Union. Back then Democrats sounded just like some of todays people on the right. Omg omg Reagan (Biden) is going to destroy the world ! The only thing that was destroyed was the ‘evil empire’.
I wonder if this genius has considered the new hyper sonic capabilities they have.
Even the most informed of military people have said there is no known reliable defense against those.
Dam good thing that the range of those is just about 600 miles or so.

The two atomic bombs dropped on Japan were fission weapons. The explosive force of those weapons was 15 kilotons (15,000 tons)
Modern nuclear weapons employ fusion, an explosive power so intense a fission bomb is used the the “fuse” to trigger the fusion reaction. Fusion weapons have an explosive force of up to 5 megatons (5,000,000 tons).
