Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the “public will certainly learn things it hasn’t seen before” during the upcoming hearing of the January 6 House Select Committee.
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “So your committee is going to hold the first public hearing in more than two months coming up. How much new information are we going to see Wednesday, and what will the focus of the hearing be?”
Schiff said, “You know, we’re not disclosing yet what the focus will be. You know, I can’t say, as this may be one of the last hearings of this nature, that is one that is focused on the factual record, I think it will be potentially more sweeping than some of the other hearings. It, too, will be thematic and tell a story about Donald Trump’s plot to overturn the election. The public will certainly learn things it hasn’t seen before, but it will also understand information it already has in a different context by seeing it how relates to other elements of this plot. So I think it will be as others worth watching. I hope we will, you know, additionally down the road have a hearing to explore our findings and recommendations going forward to protect the country.”

Yes, turnabout would be fair play. A Trump indictment would invite GOP grilling of which I’ll bet Biden wants no part.
As such, does an indictment prior to announcement makes more sense from the D perspective ?
A cousin of mine visited Thursday (mid-70’s, had triple by-pass, mitral valve replacement last year). He asked his PCP just the other day about the bivalent booster ... not so much that he wanted it, but was curious. His doc told him to “wait”. He was surprised and so was I. We had quite the chat & unlike most folks who have had shots, he’s “listening”. I’m sending him Steve Kirsch’s tour de force article, summarizing why the shots are NOT safe & effective. My cousin was also questioning the flu shots .... I don’t think he’s a one-off because the shot rates are WAY down & I hope that trend continues.
BTW, Steve calls this a short collection - in the context of the ‘whole’ it probably is, but it’s still lengthy.

It's a profit thing, Rod. The CVS-type places have the inventory taking up cooler space and there is no profit in throwing it away when it expires. The profit comes from sticking it in your arm and charging the government for the stick.
Unless, of course, CVS can charge the government for storing and disposal. That would be consistent with a government contractor cost-plus agreement......

I saw your first post today and had to shake my head at the shenanigans at voting locales yet again - practically up against the wire now in September. How much more last minute nonsense is in the works?

Crossing fingers, my health issues are much better, but I walk with a cane and will soon likely need a walker of sorts. But I have mobilization and am strong to lift myself up and down.
Since you mentioned the voting mess, I contacted my state level senator. He responded with a thank you and said he would look into it. Then he came back and said he had contacted the department of elections and they said it was all a mistake and a correction letter would be sent out.
It turns out my entire community got the same letter.
I don’t for one minute think this was a mistake. And even if it were, that’s a pretty serious mistake, don’t you think? In the private sector someone would be fired immediately.

Good news! One can get used to a cane, or even one of the newer walkers pretty nicely. We all know people who do well by them. My legs are strong, but my balance is getting kind of weird...
Let’s hope enough people are keeping an eye out so that voting will not be as big an issue as the candidates. I just can’t understand why we don’t have paper ballots, at least as an option. Or maybe I do understand.
