My wife and I drove "The Lonliest Road in America", US 50 from Carson City NV to Ely NV. Over 300 miles, and once you get past Fallon there's only two towns before Ely, Austin and Eureka.
One time we pulled over and looked down the road ahead, and the road behind. Reminded me of the "Road Runner" cartoon.
I wonder if there are any charging stations in Austin or Eureka...
I actually drove that stretch in 2014. I remember Austin. I got gas there, and they only wanted bills with denominations of no more than 20 dollars — I guess visitors are scarce. And afterward, heading east, the road wound round and round a large hillside, putting me in danger of going off the edge. Fortunately, I maintained control and survived to reach Ely.
