1 knot = 1.15 miles per hour
100 knots = 115 miles per hour
GMT= Greenwich Mean Time. Also known as Zulu (z). GMT is 4 hours ahead of Eastern Daylight time. Times are normally shown in military time. To find EDT subtract 4 from Zulu time. Example:
1800z = 18 - 4 = 1400 = 2:00PM EDT.
0200z on the 25th = 2 - 4 = -2 (Wait what? A minus?) = 2200 EDT = 10:00PM EDT on the 24th.
