Good for you! My SIL in Lake Wales never lost power but all of her children have, and it’s not back on yet. They are hopeful, but of course, I feel like Central Florida gets ignored a lot. The only thing that changes that equation is if Disney has a problem. They are close, but maybe not close enough.
Disney world has its own oil power generator station. Most of the lines are underground so they do not lose power during hurricanes. Disney World is within a separate town called Lake Buena Vista, and all utilities are owned and operated by Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID).
