We had friends who moved to the Tampa area a couple years ago..Before they moved we talked about the hurricane factor. They basically blew it off. I suspect their minds were made up.
My son (grew up in MN) lives in Tampa with his girlfriend. They are riding out the storm with his girlfriends parents. They are inland in New Tampa and have plenty of food and a generator.
My ex-wife (also grew up in MN), on the other hand, is riding out the storm with her new hubby in their townhouse in a marina on the southern tip of St. Petersburg.
Stupid.
