Do you live in Florida? Any idea how insurance (doesn’t ) work here? A storm like this and a huge insurance problem that already exists could permanently wipe DeSantis off the map, let alone leave billions in uninsured damages and thousands of people without homes.

My brother had to go into the pool a few years ago and was assigned to a North Carolina company. He got a check for the damages three weeks after hurricane hit.

We are talking about the distorted market forces of insurance here, not some political squabble over r and d. Taxpayers state and federal shouldn't be helping people live in places they can't afford. This applies to all states.
