The NHC later apologized and basically said it did not care about the interior population but worried changing the warning for coastal residents .
NHC are Complete Jack A$$es and dont trust them .
Well, maybe not all of them...
My family in Polk were devastated from Irma. No one gave a d@mn about them either. They really suffered. My brother in GVL took a generator and food, water, gas, ice, etc to them. It was a long drive with so many power lines and debris all over the place. The NHC made me pretty upset with them. They acted like these people didn’t matter a hill of beans. It was a bad month or two after that storm.
I don’t normally pay attention to these things but have a friend in the area this time. If I were pretty much anywhere in the state considering evacuation the day before yesterday and I used the NHC forecast, I probably would have made a very wrong decision.
