What we call the first floor, they call the ground floor. What they call the first floor, we call the second floor. Not splattering height, but you could easily break an ankle.

“If only (the Federals) hadn’t... attacked their own citizens in the Southern states for 4 years...”

See how that works?

Wonder if Edward Snowden is signing up, or being signed up.

That’s an example of the mindless hyperbole produced by The Sun, The Daily Mail & The Guardian. I guess they didn’t proofread the story before pushing “print.” 🤣

Putin is nothing like Trump, he currently has a 95 percent approval rating because people are afraid to answer any other way.

There. Fixed it.

Yes, I was looking for one with Uncle Max serving conscriptions orders on the Baron, but that was as close as I could get.

Prayer up for all Russians trying to flee.
May God open pathways for them.

How do you know what the Russians expected would happen when they rolled into Ukraine?

I confess I had no idea what Russia expected would happen. I do know that the Wehrmacht took mere weeks to conquer all of it in 1941, this while simultaneously attacking the USSR both north and south of Ukraine against a much larger defensive force than what 2022 Ukraine has. So I think the Russians thought the ‘special operation’ would be brief and successful.

I think that yesterday’s ‘partial mobilization’ is an admission that things have not turned out as they had hoped.

Russia has a history of invading its neighbors. Parts of Georgia are still under Russian occupation, the Transnistria bit of Moldova is ‘protected’ by Russia, and in 2014 Russia invaded Ukrainian Crimea and of course 6 months ago Russia invaded parts of Ukraine where ethnic Russians are a majority.

I realize that the history of all these places is complex and that there is a lot of bad feelings that are decades/centuries old. But it is noteworthy that Georgia did not invade Russia, nor did Moldova invade Russia, nor did Ukraine invade Russia.

Watching the pro-invasion side deny, distract and spin themselves into the ground is almost amusing.

Like watching a bad Will Ferrell movie, except Ferrell knows he is acting.

I don’t know. Doesn’t say how old the guy was, or what he was jumping onto. Personally, at 67 I’d think twice before jumping out a second-floor window even though I could probably still do some sort of PLF. 40 years ago, no problem. As a kid, my older brothers taught me how to jump a 12-foot drop from the edge of the driveway to the lower lawn, and I’d always get down from the roof by jumping to the front lawn.

Your link to The Sun was kaput; but by clicking on the Sun logo in the upper right, I found the paper. I went to p. 6 and browed until I found the article. It seemed solid and yes I enjoyed it, thanks.

So thousands of Russian troops will be told: “Rush across this field of pressure plate bombs. You will be met with heavy fire and flame throwers. If anyone survives remember we gave our all for Putin’s glory.”

How will they use them? As minefield detectors?

The USSR had a history of using them as minefield clearers. Mr. Putin is a throwback to the USSR.

You/re just a few years older than me, and I don’t think this guy was half our age if he was getting conscripted.

Basically 5 primary Pooty Pal arguments are trotted out as needed, sometimes one at a time, or several in a bunch.

1) Putin/Russia is good, Ukraine is evil.

2) Ukraine leaders are homo, physically deficient in some way, or very corrupt.

3) It is all a plot by Soros, other EU politicians, and plan for a new world order.

4) America should not waste it’s time or money on Ukraine when there are so many unsolved problems in the US.

5) Got to watch out for annoying Putin, he might get mad and use nukes.

Happy hunting, finding, and exposing these trolls and Russia plants.
