Trump says he would shut down Putin and his constant nuke threats by putting our nuke subs in a more threatening posture.

Yes. While living in a large apt building in Moscow for several months, a Russian holiday prompted children to have no school. Their parents went to work. Ages oh maybe 8 and up were left on their own for the day. Quite a large group. Sometimes a babushka unrelated to them would stop their hijanks and scold them. Some babushkas got together and fed them lunch.
It was a nice apt building but I found the elevators to be scary. Huge gaps you had to step over.

I met and befriended Canadians in the building who were doing drastic work on their Apt and, they said, on their dacha outside of Moscow. Not one building permit required.
No one objected to the construction noises or piles of sawdust at the entry.

I saw Russians selling meat on a card table in public, flies landing on it. Just raw meat, lying there on the table.
Guy standing behind the table hawking it for sale, was excited to see me stop and stare.
Disgusting. But allowed.

In the streets of tourist areas in Moscow were children in wheelchairs with an adult, begging, here and there. I stopped to donate but the Russian woman with me put her hands on my shoulders and turned me away, telling me No. They were mafia or something.
But not against the law. The children were not required to attend school, nor were there any agencies called to see to their welfare.

I took my three yr old to the street and held out rubles for rides to where ever I wanted to go. Moscow.

Guns are fine, as you mentioned.

Let me think on this a bit more. It has been awhile.
There are some religions which have been banned.
Soros was booted after kiddie porn was “discovered” on the computer at his Open Society office...😂😂😂

That’s Trump very shrewdly working with a very bad hand. I would trust Trumpbin that situation because his proclivity would be to coming to a workable conclusion. I wouldn’t trust any other politicians to do such a thing. Putin wouldn’t have nuke threats with Trump because Trump would be trying to Make America Great Again not trying to expand NATO’s reach. Trump had a very coherent policy vis a vi Russia and it was working so well thr deep state stole an election.

If I'm not mistaken, we all die. The question is how to live well, and that means not giving in to some tinpot murderous dictator like Putin who thinks he can restore the 19th century great power politics that brought us both WWI and WWII. Giving in would be far more dangerous.

If Trump were in office this war would never have taken place. The US is not aiming to destroy Russia or even to remove Putin despite all the hyperbole. Merely to defeat the latest Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russia is not going to use nukes for the simple reason that the US has 10 nuke warheads for every Russian city over 50k in population, with a few hundred left over for China.

The only response to Putin’s nuke threats is to ignore them in policy while reminding him of our nuke power militarily, just as Trump says.

Thanx!

It is interesting. Even if I was younger and the world a calmer place, I would be hesitant to even visit areas with such a different alphabet as well as a foreign language.

Salt and slow cooking with some sort of acidic marinade would render the meat safe. I do think the lack of building codes is problematic, but it would be nice if owners could repair their buildings without permits.

The kids were likely not even crippled. Sounds like a Roma scam.

The other part, with the kids on their own and neighborhood grannies on watch/feeding them sounds like my childhood. The really elderly sat by the window and kept watch on EVERYONE.
8-year-olds were responsible for the littler kids. We were all free-range, back then. It was just how it was.

Many world leaders need to remind Putin that his use of nukes could very well be an act of national suicide for Russia.

Saner heads in Russia need to remove Putin before he tries to make good on his threats.

And, the Russia generals in charge of executing Putin’s orders need to decide if they want to live or die for Putin’s glory.

Somebody help me out. My head hurts trying to think this through. How does somebody use a nuclear weapon to defend its territory? Where do you detonate it?

The same "reasoning" that causes an abuser to slaughter the girlfriend who tries to escape - "If I can't have her, nobody will!!!"

Trump, as I said, had a Russian policy not a Russian nuke policy. Do you get the difference? Clearly many don’t.

“Restore parity”?

1992 James Baker assures Gorbachev after German reunification NATO will go “not one inch further east”. That was near parity with NATO in the ascendency. Since then 16 dominos have fallen eastward. There will be WWIII before the last domino falls. You know Putin already has theater nukes in the LPR and DPR. That brings theater parity once the decision to commit has been made. NATO, moving on Donbas, will be stopped cold. Next move will belong to the senile but warmongering vegetable in the White House.

As Trump said “I LISTENED TO HIM CONSTANTLY USING THE N WORD , THAT’S THE N WORD, AND HE’S CONSTANTLY USING IT. THE NUCLEAR WORD”

“YOU SHOULD SAY LOOK , IF YOU MENTION THAT WORD, ONE MORE TIME, WE’RE GOING TO SEND THEM OVER (nuke subs) AND WE’LL BE COASTING BACK AND FORTH UP AND DOWN YOUR COAST. YOU CAN’T LET THIS TRAGEDY CONTINUE. YOU CAN’T LET THESE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DIE. IT’S GOING TO BE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS AND MAYBE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE BY THE TIME IT ENDS.”

Trump wanted the nuclear threat to be obvious to Putin.

I don’t get it. Can you really get much more blatant than it is? Trump didn’t do anything on this subject at all.
