What Ukraine did was throw it’s most capable and well armed troops, that NATO had been preparing for months, into a small area of the front.
Unverified reports on telegram say Ukrainian locals claim the soldiers in Kharkiv are English speaking NATO troops. Then there’s this article on
@cnn aying “volunteer” troops from the US are fighting for Ukraine and being paid by Ukraine- which is getting that money from the US.

English-speaking NATO troops in Kharkiv?
There are volunteers from many countries fighting with the Ukrainians. Often English is used as the common language.
There was a vid about a month ago of a mixed unit engaged at the front. I could identify Ukrainian, Russian, and English. A 4th language was used too, but I couldn’t figure out what it was & there was no clear view of the speakers. (Am not an expert.) Plenty of confusion a couple times - Some of the Ukrainians’ English was pretty limited. Would have been humorous in other circumstances.
