the point of the referendums is to make conscripted Russians fight in those Oblasts. As it stands now, conscripts can legally refuse to fight outside of Russia. This will solve Pootie’s manpower problem on paper, but conscripts are no substitute for well trained, motivated and spirited troops - troops of which he might have 10,000 remaining scattered in various configurations of AD and ND units.

This is sheer desperation.

So sending draftees abroad is sheer desperation ? Interesting I mean considering our own history

I think it is indicative they want to ramp up this limited war idea with few actual Russian regular army involved ..I’ll give you that plus it has politics pluses for Pootie and the breakaway republics leadership and DPR and LPR are getting impatient after 8 years

You can make a case either way especially if one believes Russian army is all in already ala western media and is running back from Kharkiv in their underwear on stolen bicycles which I don’t obviously because I read all sides

Sad to say western media is far less trustworthy than say Rybar
