Queen Elizabeth II's Goodbye
By the time this is published Queen Elizabeth II will finally be resting at her final resting spot forever.
It was a week of royalty, marching by the soldiers, music from the bagpipes, hoards of people along the long, winding highways, the casket carried in the limousine. The queen's body was in Scotland for a few days, in Westminster Abby, driven through the streets of London, placed inside some castles.
The entire almost two week funeral was couched with uniforms, furry hats, pleated skirts. We saw Elizabeth's dogs, her many hats, and famous people on the earth with Queen Elizabeth through the years.
My granddaughter and I gossiped about Meghan Markel and discussed just how much British we had in our DNA. There was much speculation about the royal relationships, to include the Queen's grandson's William and Harry, and their wives, always the subject of royal gossip.
I consider that for Americans, who would NEVER have a monarch ruling them, it was in way to view our history. Here in the U.S. many of our ancestors left England to get away from that very same monarchy.
Royalty is more of a tourist lure than anything in England but Queen Elizabeth II did her duty well.
May she rest in peace with Phillip.

America Remembers 9/11/01We had no dead queens recently, but America did commemorate the horror and death from the attack on 9/11/01 as is done every year. Of course we all remember that day and what we were doing. In my case, the most intriguing thing I experienced from this attack was the day I somehow ended up sitting in front of the pentagon a couple of days after the attack. Smoke was still coming from the pentagon as I sat in awe.
I had planned to take a weekend off for a mini-vacation accompanied by my daughter. We went to Busch's Gardens the weekend after the attack although I was worried everything would be closed. But the hotel where we stayed and Busch's Gardens were open. I recall watching everything that was going
on via TV and standing out on a busy boulevard in response to a call to do so to honor the victims of the attack.
It was a mistake that put us in front of the pentagon on our way home. We were on I-95 North. My daughter was driving but she didn't want to continue on our route because she saw a sign that said to do so would take you to New York. She quickly pulled off the interstate because she feared we were headed the wrong way.
That's when daughter pulled up in front of the pentagon and we both sat quiet, not only pondering the correct route but silently looking at our country's pentagon, still burning from an attack by an enemy.
It turned out we were not on the wrong route but daughter and I sat in shocked and reverent silence as we sat and watched smoke pouring out of the pentagon.
We got back on our way home and went a long way in mutual silence.
I thought I would never live through such a thing in my beloved country.
I suspect most of us were just as shocked.

Flying Economy Class is Dangerous for a Woman of Color

Cantrell owes the city of New Orleans some $30,000 for upgrades from business to first class on several airplane trips. She claims that it is dangerous for a woman of color to ride business class on an airplane and she has no intention to pay it back.
Now she is being recalled by the voters, or attempts are being made for same.
Lookit, there is no data to prove that it is dangerous for black females to ride in any way but first class on an airplane. Latoya is a greedy, selfish piglet and is giving the people of New Orleans the finger.
The people of New Orleans should give this *itch the boot.

A Surprise Review of Chelsea and Hillary's interview on the Kelly Clarkson show
Turns out that they will be producing a new show on something called Apple TV, a show about brave woman who struggled through the tough times.
Actually, yon readers, I leaned back, clasped my fingers behind my head and leaned back in my chair, wondering what this was all about.
First, Kelly Clarkson is from Texas, not a state known for its love of the Clintons. I listened to the interview and couldn't believe my ears. The new show, as described, shows strong women who got through tough times. One such example was Hillary herself, who states that she stayed with her husband after he cheated on her. Which, listeners should assume, Hillary herself is one such strong and surviving female.
Clarkson, it turns out, too went through marriage betrayal and she told Hillary how much she is admired for being strong and facing the pain and anguish.
At this point it is occurring to me how misleading this whole thing is going to be. The very first thing Hillary did when Monica came along was to deny her existence and declare her a liar. Hillary did not act brave and noble throughout that entire matter. I know, as do most of yon readers, that Hillary did not stay with Bill due to her great love for him. She stayed because she knew she would run for president some day and for her to leave Bill would perhaps eliminate any possibility of that.
Discussion went on. Clarkson kept saying how much Hillary is admired, and how lucky we are to have a village raise our children.
Chelsea on the other hand, did a good job and looked very nice. Forget those rumors that her real father is Webb Hubbell. Bill Clinton is her father. She looks like him and unfortunately Bill Clinton is not very pretty as a girl.
But Chelsea looked nice, was dressed well and honestly, she did a great with her contributions to the conversation.
Kelly Clarkson appeared to be kissing ass but Hillary and Chelsea were her guests.
So research the shows on AppleTV and watch Hillary try to change herself into a sweet and loving woman who will somehow climb up into the presidency, followed by her daughter Chelsea.
