6,000/50 = 120 per state (on average) in four months, or one arrest per state per day. Why haven’t we heard about any of these arrests until now? It seems unlikely that these arrests would have mostly occurred one at a time, but that many were crackdowns on some sort of organized smuggling or trafficking operations, with multiple arrests per incident. Were these arrests kept quiet because the administration was trying to cover up all of the problems surrounding the border crisis?
This is typical Feds / FBI. Locals made the arrests. At the end the FBI came into the jail and arrested them on federal charges. 95%+ of federal arrests are made in jails.
