Having seen this issue rear its head in nearby Newark NJ, it is clear nobody wants to ask basic questions about the welfare reservations: “How much will you contribute for ______ (insert “emergency services”, “public works”, “public schools”, etc.)?”
In the end, you get what you pay for, in addition to what the government can force other people to provide for you. Like former African colonies, residents inherited an infrastructure built (and funded) by previous residents, who they often chased out. They “won”; now they can reap what they’ve sown.
