Innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. I certainly do not hold to that idea anymore. It would be nice if it were true, and I really would like to see Government officials restrained from just tossing anyone they don't like into jail.
Like the J6 protestors. I do not recall that they killed anybody.
But in any case, it's not a crime if a Democrat does it.

That is the law, and for good reason. Imagine the havoc that the dems could do by charging republicans with frivolous crimes with the sole purpose of removing them from office without a trial. We are already seeing the beginnings of that now.
