Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso, a Republican, told Fox News that the migrants are being used as "political pawns" by Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker.
"As is my understanding, this hotel, about a year ago, when refugees came in from Afghanistan, apparently accepted several either through faith-based or charitable organizations, but now the state assumes they can just send migrants… this isn’t about them, the migrants is fine, they’re being used as political pawns by the governor and mayor," Grasso said.
Grasso also said it's hypocritical for Lightfoot to be complaining about Texas Governor Greg Abbott sending migrants to Chicago, then turning around and "sending [the migrants] out to the" suburbs.

This is hundreds of people in a city of millions. Why are they sending them out to the Republican suburbs? You have to wonder," Grasso said.
He said that just because the specific Hampton Inn was used to previously house refugees from Afghanistan "does not give carte blanche to the governor or the mayor to send a couple of bus loads of migrants to our village without telling us."
"The border situation on the southern border is a totally different situation than Afghan refugees. It’s total arrogance for the state to assume they can send migrants to the suburbs around Chicago," Grasso said.

THAT suburb should become a SANCTUARY VOTER ID suburb and demand voter ID’s when voting. THAT way, at least, the illegals will not be able to vote dem.
Can’t the Mayor of Burr Ridge just put these people back on a bus and ship them back to Chicago? Of course, these people might eventually think that nobody actually wants them, but that’s a challenge that must be accepted. The weather is nice, so the bus can just park at Grant Park near the Obama mosque/palace and have the driver hand each person a tent and a breakfast taco.
They are already in the hotel with all expenses paid for at least 30 days so it is a complete mess.
Lori Lightbrain is biting off more than she can chew.
I want to see her in deep political distress. Her mishandling and incompetence has caused many black people-—yes, black people— to be murdered week after week while she makes lame excuses. And doesn’t even notice if non blacks are targets.
Pretending she is adequate is a losing game. Affirmative action and black racism set side, she is putrid as a public official.

Round them up and send them right back into downtown Chicago, and drop them off right in front of City Hall, and do it NOW.
