I think it was Charles who insisted she be accepted as his wife. Would be fair to say threatened if she wasn't allowed.

Interesting is Charles has been decades ‘The King in Waiting”.....but the Queen showed the world and Charles she would continue her duties for life and she did just that. Regardless of what Charles wanted to see as himself as King.

Charles will be 74 in November. One of the things we have known of him is his love of being 'served' far more than 'serving' others. Camila has curtailed much of that.

Camilla and Charles were dishonorable, but they are old now and have continuing roles to fulfill as king and queen consort. I can respect William supporting his father and king (and his stepmother) while still praising his mother and her memory when appropriate. I’m sure the public has had its fill of the cheap soap opera style of royalling in the persons of Halfwit, MeGain and Randy Andy and Fergie.

watch that video closely when he sits down at the desk and hands paper to the prince, and keeps over and over directing others to move the pens out of the way. As if he is so special to move them forward a bit like the price did later.

Charles announced he'd do the same. Hopefully, his idea of service is tending his garden and William can take over the more important duties. It does seem as if William has been doing just that.

A reasonable assertion. But note that he signed the proclimation of the privy council asserting his right to claim the throne as Charles the III, as if that was a moment he had been practising for his entire life. Wait until he is crowned King. This guy is no poker face.
