From your post, I am assuming you are a British citizen. I have been to the UK a few times and found the people warm and kind. To this day I recall chats and visits in pubs, cafes, and homes. Lovely times. Also, I’m always in awe of the architecture which is incredible as is the depth of your nation’s history. I will keep your country and its people in my prayers as this situation unfolds trusting that all are kept in Gods loving care.
A joint citizen of Australia and Britain. I was born in Australia, but have British citizenship through both my parents being born in the UK. I've lived the majority of my life in Australia, but have spent long periods in the UK as well. I bought a house in England, just before COVID hit, and the plan was to split my time in retirement between the two countries, but I've basically been stuck in Australia for most of the last two years, so that hasn't happened yet.
I am proud to be both, and I thank you for your thoughts about Britain.
I lived in nw London late 80s
