This is an article from 2008 in the Atlantic, of all places, when they used to still do journalism.

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2008/07/american-murder-mystery/306872/

Essentially it’s about liberal policies of getting blacks out of inner-city project housing and dispersing them throughout Memphis using Section 8 housing. Lo and behold, the wave of crimes that followed correlated almost perfectly to where the blacks were finding housing - the map looked like a glove with fingers extending throughout.

I suspect this isn’t just Memphis though. This is the leftist playbook everywhere to diffuse the black problem out of just the hood.

See the article at my post #69 about what happens when "inner city" blacks move into a formerly white neighborhood.

Thanks for the link. I worked in uniform for 25 years in NY State Department of Correctional services. I started in 1980. Back then the recidivism rate was 80%. Today, no one does the time for the actual crime they committed. D.A.'s and State Attorney Generals cut deals with criminals up front, so they don't have to go to court. That's sheer laziness on the part of those elected officials. They are giving the serial offender a reward from the beginning. The majority of these individuals have been in the criminal justice system for years, with multiple violent felony offenses, but are back out walking the street, and in many liberal cities, they aren't even required to post bail, even for attempted murder. The criminal justice system today is a joke. The only one that benefits from it is the criminal. There is no justice for the system.

When I started working as a C.O., if a convict was misbehaving on the unit, or gallery, and bringing unwanted attention from the uniformed staff, to that unit or gallery, another convict living there would read him the riot act, and if he didn't straighten up, he'd have the crap kicked out of him. They policed their own galleries and units. I've been retired since 2003, and have no idea if that still happens, but I know one thing for certain, and that is, that the black community for the most part hasn't bothered to police its own community. If they don't care enough about the crime that is happening around them or to them, to do anything about it, then they deserve everything that comes their way. They need to police their own streets, and it should have started a long time ago. They gave up their rights to live normal lives when they allowed criminals to take over their streets.
